São Tomé is an island of contrasts. Between the green landscape and the blue sea, you will find on this island some of the most beautiful beaches you can imagine, bays of calm waters with an average temperature of 28 ºC surrounded by coconut palms that will undoubtedly make you believe you have found PARADISE on Earth. Besides our beach at Club Santana, we suggest visits to the beaches of Sete Ondas, Micondo, Jalé, and Piscina. From September to April, you can watch turtles laying eggs on the Micoló and Jalé beaches. We also suggest a visit to Boca do Inferno, on the coast of Água Izé, probably the oldest tourist attraction in São Tomé, already popular during the colonial era. Legend has it that whenever settlers wanted to go back home, they would jump on horseback into the hole in the rock and be catapulted as far as Portugal.
